Author Kate Klise and illustrator M. Sarah Klise are sisters and collaborators. They are also cocreators of the bestselling Regarding the . . . series as well as other awardwinning picture books and novels.

Kate and M. Sarah Klise

Kate (left) and Sarah (right) grew up in Peoria, Illinois, where Kate had a best friend named Charlie (center), who looked a lot like Harry. (Sarah never met Charlie.)

Kate now lives and writes in a valley near Norwood, Missouri. Sarah lives and paints in Berkeley, California. Neither is sure where Harry—or Charlie—lives.
